A 12-person design studio's own office, built to double as a client meeting space without a boardroom eating the floor plan.
The brief
A small, opinionated team who didn't want a boardroom cannibalising a third of the office for meetings that happen twice a week. Budget was tight and honest about it from the first call.
Our approach
The meeting table lives in the main studio floor, framed by a folding acoustic screen rather than four walls — private when it's booked, open floor space the rest of the week. Joinery was kept to birch plywood throughout, which held the budget and gave the space its material identity.
The result
Delivered under the original budget, with the saved allowance redirected to lighting the studio asked for but hadn't originally costed in.
