An addition & alteration that added a rear extension and resurfaced a decade of piecemeal renovations into one consistent material palette.
The brief
Three previous owners had each left their own patchwork of finishes. The brief was structural as much as aesthetic: extend the kitchen into the rear yard and unify the house's mismatched flooring and joinery.
Our approach
We submitted the A&A plans and managed BCA approval before any hoarding went up, so the build itself ran without a mid-project permit stall. A single timber-and-white palette now runs from the front door to the new rear extension.
The result
The house gained 180 sq ft of usable kitchen and dining space, and — per the client's words at handover — 'finally looks like one house instead of three renovations.'
